Health & wellbeing

Feel your best, on board and beyond

At P&O Cruises we believe wellbeing is essential to a happy and successful life at sea. Adjusting to living and working on a ship can take time and that’s okay. We’re here to support you every step of the way with a wide range of physical, mental, emotional and social resources designed to help you thrive.

We’re focused on the Five Ways to Wellbeing and our programme of wellbeing events, activities, services and resources help colleagues to:

Staying connected

We’ve invested in improved Wi-Fi and flexible internet packages to help you stay connected. Free WhatsApp messaging is available, and you can send and receive mail or order online deliveries to your ship.

Mental health

We’re committed to promoting good mental health for everyone on board. Support includes access to the medical centre, online resources, the CAP, our crisis team and trained mental health champions. Help is available 24/7 and is always confidential, always without judgement.

Fresh air & fitness

Every ship has a crew gym with exercise machines, free weights and fitness classes. You’ll also find crew pools, sports courts, bikes and outdoor decks to enjoy fresh air and social time. Staying active is easy and encouraged.

Healthy living

All meals are free in the crew mess, with buffet-style dining and drinks stations. Menus include fruit, vegetables and healthy options. Crew shops offer snacks and essentials, with down time and shore leave giving time to recharge.

Cultural events

With over 60 nationalities on board, we celebrate cultural diversity and support religious practices. Events are organised by crew and enjoyed by all. Spiritual support is available through our Port Chaplaincy programme.
