This year marks a special milestone as Southampton Pride celebrates its 10th anniversary.
For the past decade, P&O Cruises and Cunard have proudly supported the event as headline sponsors, helping it grow into one of Southampton’s most vibrant celebrations of diversity, inclusion and community. As a business that brings together thousands of people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds, supporting Pride is a natural extension of who we are and the values we live every day.
At P&O Cruises, we believe that everyone should feel welcome, respected and able to be themselves. Whether someone is joining us for their first role at sea or building a long-term career onboard, creating an inclusive environment is an important part of helping our people succeed.
A partnership built on pride
Over the last 10 years, Southampton Pride has become a much-loved event that brings people together to celebrate individuality, equality and community spirit.
This year’s event, taking place on 29 and 30 August, promises another exciting weekend filled with live entertainment and celebrations across the city. Visitors can enjoy performances from P&O Cruises Limelight Club stars Matt Terry and Sam Bailey, alongside The Olivia Dean Experience. The programme also includes performances from our Headliners Theatre Company, tribute acts, DJs, dance groups and a fantastic line-up of local talent.
As one of Southampton’s largest employers, we’re proud to support an event that reflects the diversity of the city we call home and the people who make our business what it is.
Creating a culture where everyone belongs
Working at sea is about much more than delivering unforgettable holidays. It’s about being part of a team where people look out for one another, celebrate different perspectives and create a welcoming environment for colleagues and guests alike.
Our ships are home to colleagues from around the world, bringing together a rich mix of experiences, cultures and ideas. We know that when people feel comfortable being themselves, they can do their best work, build meaningful friendships and enjoy rewarding careers at sea.
For anyone exploring hospitality jobs or cruise ship careers, belonging matters. That’s why we’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone has the opportunity to grow, develop and feel valued for who they are.
