Looking after our people is at the heart of life on board. That is why we invest in programmes that support crew wellbeing, connection and confidence at sea.
A recent Crew Assistance Program (CAP) event on board Aurora is a great example of how we bring this to life.
Bringing crew together on Aurora
Crew members from across the ship came together for an engaging wellbeing session open to all departments. From the start, there was a positive and welcoming atmosphere, with colleagues getting involved and supporting each other.
The session included:
- Interactive quizzes
- Informal discussions
- Fun giveaways
- A practical CAP awareness talk
This mix of activities made the session both informative and enjoyable, helping everyone feel comfortable taking part.
What is the Crew Assistance Program?
The Crew Assistance Program (CAP) provides confidential support, guidance and resources for crew members while working at sea.
It is there to help with:
- Personal wellbeing
- Mental health support
- Practical advice and guidance
- Access to professional resources
Events like this help make sure crew know where to turn if they need support, and encourage open conversations in a safe environment.
Why crew wellbeing matters
Working at sea is rewarding, but it can also be challenging. That is why creating a culture of support and connection is so important.
This event showed:
- Strong collaboration across departments
- A shared commitment to wellbeing
