The ocean is at the heart of everything we do at P&O Cruises. It shapes every journey, every experience on board and the careers we offer at sea. On World Oceans Day, we’re proud to mark 10 years of working with ORCA, a leading marine conservation charity.

For the past decade, we’ve worked closely with ORCA to better understand life in our oceans. Their focus is on the long-term study and conservation of whales, dolphins and their habitats across the world.

By working together, we’re helping build a clearer picture of where whales and dolphins live and travel. Data collected on board our ships supports real conservation policy, helping inform protections at both national and international level.

It’s a partnership that reflects what careers at P&O Cruises are all about;  combining great guest experiences with real responsibility for the world around us.

Bringing conservation to life at sea

Our ships give ORCA the opportunity to carry out research in parts of the ocean that are difficult to reach. This helps expand understanding of marine life in ways that wouldn’t otherwise be possible.

And our team play a vital role too. Through training and hands-on support from ORCA, crew members learn how to spot and record sightings of whales and dolphins. From contributing to important research to building awareness with guests, our crew help turn everyday work into something meaningful.
