Even on turnaround days, Arvia’s crew found time to honour the independence days of Pakistan (14 August), India (15 August) and Indonesia (17 August). The celebrations were full of colour and camaraderie, with a Gala dinner, a lively quiz, a best dressed competition and a Bollywood disco bringing everyone together.
In the lead-up to Ganesh Chaturthi, a small group began gathering every Thursday evening for Bhajan meets. These peaceful sessions offered a moment of calm, with devotional singing, chanting and spiritual reflection. A celebration of Indian cultural traditions and a chance to reconnect with faith.
Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with devotion and flair. The team spent a month crafting a beautiful set from scratch, dedicating time each evening to bring it to life. Once the festival began, a Ganesh idol was placed, daily prayers held and sweets shared as blessings. Over 200 crew took part in this seven-day celebration.
Fitness met fun in Arvia’s Summer Spinning Classes, led by Staff Captain Dawid. Held twice a week, these sessions were a hit across departments, boosting both physical and mental wellbeing. Big thanks to Dawid for his energy and for bringing the ‘Spinning Team’ together.
Two buses, 100 crew members and one iconic landmark as Arvia’s crew headed out to explore the Leaning Tower of Pisa. From classic photo ops to Italian delicacies, it was a day of laughter, learning and leisure. A well-deserved break for a hardworking team.
